Art Contribution Guidelines

Mr. Ramey is hosting a Pink Gala Fundraiser to honor his mom, who passed away from breast cancer. The event raises money for people battling breast cancer and supports a scholarship in her name.

He has asked our Del Oro students to create artwork that will be auctioned at the Gala.

Who Can Participate

  • Art Students: Optional participation.

  • Link Crew Leaders (Zero Period): Required. You may work individually or in teams, depending on your plan.

Theme & Inspiration

Your artwork should connect to the themes of hope, power, and resilience. Think about how art can uplift, encourage, and inspire strength.

Examples of Ideas:

  • A phoenix rising from flames (rebirth, power)

  • Blossoming flowers breaking through concrete (resilience)

  • Figures holding hands in solidarity (community, hope)

  • Bold, abstract shapes in pinks, golds, and bright colors (energy, positivity)

  • Portraits or silhouettes that radiate light or strength

✨ Any style or medium is welcome—painting, drawing, digital, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, photography, etc.

Requirements

  • Artwork must be school-appropriate.

  • Must fit the Gala’s theme of inspiration, hope, and power.

  • Finished artwork must be turned in by Friday, October 3rd.

How to Submit

  • Completed works should be signed and ready to display/auction.

  • Turn them in to Room 801 (Holmes) by the deadline.

Remember

This is more than an assignment—it’s a way to honor survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and give hope to those still fighting. Your art will make a difference. 💗
