Goal

Create a digital collage that represents your interests, goals, personality, and dreams. Your vision board should show what is important to you now and what you hope to experience or accomplish in the future.

Use my vision board as inspiration. Notice how it combines photographs, artwork, objects, words, colors, and symbols to tell a story about the artist.

Directions

  1. Go to Canva and log in using your school account.

  2. Click Create a design and select Poster or choose a blank design with a vertical layout.

  3. Choose a background color, pattern, or image that fits your personality.

  4. Add images that represent your:

    • Goals and dreams

    • Hobbies and interests

    • Family, friends, or pets

    • Favorite places

    • Future career or lifestyle

    • Personal values

    • Favorite artists, music, sports, or activities

  5. Add words, phrases, quotes, or letters that communicate your ideas. You may include:

    • Your name

    • A meaningful quote

    • A personal motto

    • Important goals

    • A future year or date

  6. Arrange your images and text into a collage. Experiment with:

    • Overlapping images

    • Different sizes and angles

    • Torn-paper or Polaroid-style frames

    • Stickers, shapes, stars, tape, and other decorations

    • Different fonts and colors

  7. Make sure your vision board fills the entire page and has a clear visual style. Your images should be arranged intentionally rather than placed randomly.

  8. Review your work before submitting. Check that all images and words are school appropriate and that your board represents you.

Requirements

Your vision board must include:

  • At least 10 images, symbols, or visual elements

  • At least 5 words, phrases, or letters

  • At least 3 personal goals, interests, or values

  • A thoughtful use of color, layout, and composition

  • Your name and class period

Canva Tips

  • Search Canva Elements using words such as goals, travel, creativity, music, nature, success, family, future, art, sports, or confidence.

  • Use the Remove Background tool if it is available.

  • Try searching for collage, scrapbook, torn paper, Polaroid, tape, grain, or paper texture.

  • Layer images to create depth.

  • Leave a small amount of background visible so the design does not feel too crowded.

  • Choose fonts that are easy to read and match your style.

Before You Submit

Ask yourself:

  • Does this board tell something about me?

  • Do the images and words have meaning?

  • Is the layout organized and visually interesting?

  • Did I use my own ideas and make creative choices?

  • Is my name and class period included?
